At times during the duration of Robyn's Table Chat, items have come up that we are unable to get more detail on. Or perhaps we have photos that we haven't identified. I know it takes awhile to read this, but you would be helping if you could identify even one of these. Thanks, Robyn

It was Sunday, August 5, 1923 when James Hohlfeld, age 16, and his brother went to church in Centerville. After church, he told his brother he was going to stop in Centerville and would be home later. So the brother went on home without him.
James was never heard from again according to the news story.
For a year and a half , his mother searched for him. In desperation, Mrs. Hohlfeld, the mother, offered a $10 Reward for any information regarding the whereabouts of her son.
There was a Jack H Hohlfeld from here that was a prisoner of war during WW II and died in the Bataan death march. However, I am wondering if this was his younger brother, Jacob. There was also a younger brother, William. But William was married and died in La Crosse. A sister, Helen Hohlfeld, was married to Ed Delaney. It would be interesting if anyone remembers anything about this story...

On the back is written “1923 or 1924”. There are names written on the front. They are: Back row: Ethle, Bill, Uncle Len, Florence. The groom is “Uncle George” and the bride is “Aunt Clara”. The flower girl on the right is “Cora”. There is a flower girl on the right that did not fit on this scan. She is “Stella”. Remember the paintings with the deer head photo? Believe it or not, that’s how I ended up with the photo above. Mary McKeeth called to tell me she had a set of prints just like the ones I was looking for. Oh, and she also had a photo that they had found when they lived in the Clifton Olson house. Wondered if one of the Chat readers could identify it.
This item made of concrete with four legs was turned upside down so we could read the bottom. On the bottom "O. Semb-1934" We are assuming it wade by Oscar Semb originally from the Crystal Valley area, but we do not know what it is. The top is rather bowl-shaped. Any ideas? Anything on the family?
